IS ANYONE ELSE REALLY EXCITED ABOUT THIS ONE??

Steve Reich’s Music for 18 Musicians is a seminal work of minimalism that fits nicely into the series’ eclectic reputation. Starting with one chord and building to 11, Reich creates simple, cyclical melodies. The piece is performed by Brad Lubman’s genre-defying group Signal, which features members of Lincoln Center’s Chamber Music Society of and spazz-jazz band Gutbucket. Also on the bill is Reich’s vocal work You Are (Variations).

I love the Wordless Music Series and I love Steve Reich.
Anyone want to geek out to this with me??

I really like this composition. I remember it was performed at the June 1 Bang on a Can Marathon, although i only attended one performance at that event.
