two fedex shipments to process 4 cartridges of Super8mm film, one film stock to Burbank and another to Mass. at 3 minutes per cartridge that gives me 12 minutes i could’ve had instantly with any digital device, even my google phone. super8 may take longer and cost more to use, foot by foot, but there’s nothing quite like the feeling of sending out your film and wondering what you’ll get back. (yes, there are places that process super8 here in NY, but the other places are “better.”)
